Metropolitan Fire Service Road Awareness Program

4 June 2026

On Tuesday 12 May, the Year 11 students attended a road accident prevention presentation run by the Metropolitan Fire Service. Students learnt about what constitutes 'risky' behaviour, and how they can best prevent accidents, whether as drivers, passengers or pedestrians. The students also heard from a road accident survivor named Eli, who uses his own experience to emphasise how one risky decision can have life-changing consequences. With many Year 11s on their L or P plates, this presentation was a timely reminder about the need to keep themselves and others safe on the roads.
