During Term 2, Stage 1 Theatre Design and Stage 1 Drama classes worked with industry professionals to develop their work in the classroom and on the stage.
Theatre Design students were treated to an expert design session with State Theatre Company’s Ailsa Paterson, who shared her personal process for making set and costume come to life. Students are now applying this learning to their own final products in which they imagine the world of Kate Mulvany’s Masquerade.
Drama students worked closely with Ashton Malcolm, Adelaide theatremaker, who provided feedback and guidance on their upcoming Group Production. The students remarked on Ashton’s warmth and experience, and her work significantly developed the short plays that the class is working on.
You can witness these plays yourself on 9-10 June!
