Our St Peters Campus Year 1 students recently embarked on an exciting EdVenture to the South Australian Museum and Art Gallery as part of their 'Journeys That Shape Us' interdisciplinary unit.
At the Museum, students explored fossils, ancient artefacts and fascinating specimens, learning how museums collect, preserve and display items that help us understand people, places and events from the past. At the Art Gallery, they observed a range of artworks, discussing how artists use different materials, colours and techniques to tell stories and share ideas.
Throughout the day, students asked thoughtful questions, made connections to their classroom learning and discovered how objects, artworks and collections can help us learn about the journeys that have shaped individuals, communities and cultures over time.
This hands-on EdVenture brought learning to life, inspiring curiosity, wonder and a deeper understanding of the world around us. Thank you to our parent volunteers for helping make this memorable experience possible.
