2026 is the fourth year Concordia has participated in the Australian Computational and Linguistics Olympiad (OzCLO). This year’s problem set has been described by the organising committee as ‘one of the hardest in the history of the competition’. In 2026, we once again had 16 students take part, who worked together under time pressure to solve a range of language analysis problems. The four Concordia teams—comprising students from Years 9, 10 and 11—were amongst 2,448 students from 82 schools across Australia who participated in the first round of the competition. We commend all students involved, and are very excited to announce that two of our teams achieved Bronze and Silver, placing them in the top 50% and 25% nationally.
